I don’t make many belts, (and perhaps more than I should) but I can’t seem to resist a challenge once in awhile. Here’s some work on paper of a repeating belt pattern and another wider version for a guitar strap. Straps (belts and the like) lend themselves to repeating patterns. This an example of the form (linear, narrow) is driving what might look good for decoration on it. I call this ‘respecting the form’.
